About American Pick Up Parts

When Bunce Motor Company closed down, Parts Manager of 23 years, Peter Church, purchased the majority of the company’s stock and American Pickup Parts was born. Five years later Peter decided that it was time to retire and finish some car projects.

Vincent Offenbaker worked with Peter at Bunce Motor Company for five years. He left and moved to Perth in 2012, where he was running a branch of Kenworth parts supplier TRP. When he heard that American Pickup Parts was for sale he jumped at the opportunity, seeing it as a great way to get back into the industry he’s passionate about, and to relocate back to his home country.

Vincent has relocated the business to a warehouse in Albany on Auckland’s North Shore.

The company caters for the entire American car market, not just those with trays out the back. There are very few American car and pick-up parts that, if not in stock, Vince and Peter (who continues helping Vince with the business) can’t find. This includes parts for new trucks since right-hand drive models have become available locally. Having said that, a large part of the business remains dedicated to old-school pick-ups.
